5K, 10K & 10K Relay Affordable Main Event:
@approx 8:30 am

The 5K and 10K and NEW 10K Relay options wrap up thiis running festival event with an experience like no other.  At a point or two along the route you will run through scarecrows that may jump out and chase you. This will improve your finish time of course with a boost of adrenaline, don’t worry they are just there to startle you a bit.  In it for the fun of it and want to earn a fabulous prize? Feel free to dress the part see the Creative Categories tab for details.  More of a serious runner, this is your race: a well marked fast and flat course with professional timing, a Tech T-shirt, runner cards signature finish line results, and fabulous prizes for top finishers of each division.

10K Relay: How does that work?
Runner#1 Starts @ Heritage Park and runs just shy of a 5k to the exchange point at a gravel parking lot on 640 West
Runner#2 Takes the shuttle from Heritage Park to the exchange point on 640 west 3700 South and waits for Runner #1
Runner #1 Arrives at the exchange point and takes the shuttle back to Heritage Park starting/finish line
Runner #2 Finishes the Race and meets Runner#1 at the finish line

Alternate Relay Options:
-If Runner #1 is a driver they could arrange to drop off a vehicle at the exchange point to drive back to the starting line once their leg is complete
(Exchange Point: gravel parking lot at brick building on 640 West 3700 South space is limited)
-Runner #1 may want to continue running with their teamate and could complete the route with them
*Note Relay Team Runners are NOT eligible for the Funnest Pair prize since we need to see two people completely spent trying to put something fun together and Relay Runners are already eligible for great prizes.

Exclusive 5K and 10K Creative Categories:

Not sure you can win your age bracket? NOW is your chance to earn a prize and well deserved recognition.

Jump Zone: along the 5k and 10K course (before they split) you will have your chance to take a flying leap for the judges and a camera.  Jump Zone passes available to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd placements (5K and 10K combined).  It is not all about height, consider your style, presentation, and facial expression.  For those shy or serious runners looking for a PR a jump at the jump zone is not required

This Special category brought to you by:

Funnest Pair: cross the finish line hand in hand with someone else for your chance to win a special prize. Consider your finishline approach does it include waltzing, skipping, leaping, pirouettes, a disco move, or a moon walk? Are you both wearing a smile, matching outfits, or a costume? Anonomous judges will evaluate both style & form.

Stroller Racer: So you have a little one that has changed your life, but you still want to stay fit and enjoy some quality time with them.  Well the pioneers went over 1,000 miles pushing and pulling creaky wood hand carts.  You can cover a few miles in that slick jogging stroller.  Most of the course is on a hard surface with a few patches of grass to negotiate, no icy river crossings, sand traps, or rocky ridges.  Our course is smooth and relatively flat.  Note we have had stroller racers in all of our Nibley sponsors runs since 2016 so be prepared to make some stroller running friends.

**NOT a DOG Race: you know we love dogs and include them in our Egg Run and Heritage Days 5K. However due to the exciting nature of the Scarecrow startle experience dogs will NOT be allowed in these runs.
