Kathryn has had the privilege of calling Nibley home since she was 4 years old. As a teenager, she was a member of the Nibley City Youth Council. It was on a trip to the Utah State Capitol that she felt she wanted to be a part of the political process and participate in local government.
While studying at Utah State University, Kathryn moved to Washington DC, to work as Representative Rob Bishop’s first intern. Also, prior to graduating, she chose to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was called to serve in the Spain, Bilbao Mission. While there, she cultivated a love for the culture, language, and food. Upon returning to Nibley, she continued her studies at USU and graduated Magna Cum Laude with dual degrees in Law and Constitutional Studies and Spanish. While in college, she met and married her husband, Danny. They have 3 beautiful girls.
Kathryn works as the Branch Manager of Cache Valley Bank's Hyrum branch. Prior to her election to the Nibley City Council, she served for two years on the Nibley Planning and Zoning Commission. Her interests include reading, running, walking, playing with her girls, traveling and spending time with her family. She loves Nibley and is excited to be engaged in keeping it a great place to live.
The mission of Nibley City is to make life better for its citizens by fostering community cooperation so residents, businesses, and government work together to develop the City in harmony with its natural environment, historical surroundings, and in accordance with the values and vision of the community as set forth in the General Plan. The City will provide fiscally sound municipal services for a safe, attractive, creative, and viable community.
