NWFThis all-volunteer group meets the first Wednesday of each month at 7:30pm in City Hall.

We want to expand our group and invite citizens to join us whenever they can.

Our goal is to become the first City officially certified by the National Wildlife Federation. Our Committee is striving to accomplish that goal by doing community projects and working on our own property. But we can't accomplish this goal unless we also have several residents get their homes certified as well. The process is fairly simple:

Go to www.nwf.org; scroll down and click on Wildlife Gardening. Note the suggestions for providing food, water, shelter and a place to raise young. Then simply follow the steps to get your apartment, backyard, farm or school certified. If you contact me before May 29, we can get a beautiful metal sign for your property for a 20% discount. The sign will show others that you care about the wildlife (songbirds/butterflies) in our community.

We will have a booth at Nibley Heritage Days in June where we will provide great tips on developing wildlife habitat
