Nibley City Recreation offers a fitness program called Nibley Fit, available to anyone interested in attending.  These group fitness classes include Yoga, HIIT, and HIGH fitness routines.  The classes are taught by highly qualified fitness instructors and are held in the community center at Nibley City Hall (455 W 3200 S Nibley, UT)

Class Descriptions

HIGH: this fitness routine is an interval training class that includes an easy to follow routine choreographed to music.  It combines a fun interval workout with an intensity level you set for maximum fitness results! This amazing new fitness format offers a high caloric burn through cardio peaks along with full-body toning!  Get addicted to being fit while having fun sculpting your body, building strength, and endurance. 

HIIT: looking for a fun and effecient full body workout at your pace try HIIT,  also referred as TABATA after fitness scientist/researcher Dr. Izumi Tabata.  HIIT is short for: High Intensity Interval Training and includes alternating short periods of intense anaerobic exercise with less intense active recovery. Extensive research by Tabata and others have proven both the effectiveness and efficiency of interval training with reliable positive results for improving athletic capacity and conditioning in a shorter time frame.  Benefiting both aerobic and anaerobic systems HIIT workouts have endless possibilities and exciting variety to keep you interested and challenge you to go to the next level at a pace you personally set.

Yoga:  Ease the stress of your day by using dynamic breathing and strong flowing movements for greater strength, flexibility, and range of motion. Hatha yoga is a balanced combination of sustained poses with attention to basic alignment, mindfulness, and breathing to create a trans-formative and balancing effect of mind and body.  Our yoga class will continuously evolve as our skilled instructors explore the needs and interests of class participants.  They may also weave together wisdom teachings, poetry and music to inspire physical, energetic, mental, intuitive, and pure bliss states of consciousness. Some outdoor yoga classes will be available at the Nibley Park amphitheatre note class location on the Nibley Fit Calendar and Facebook posts.

Marianne:

 Marianne has had a love for fitness all of her life. Early on she developed a passion for competitive team sports and endurance races, competing in many marathons and triathlons. Through college classes she was introduced to group fitness, which instantly became her new passion. She graduated with a degree in Health Education and has been instructing HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) for 4 years. Marianne has been certified as a Primary Group Instructor through AFAA. She has found that exercising not only strengthens the body, but also the mind and the spirit. She lives her life with the belief that being fit is about having fun while striving to be stronger than you were yesterday. Marianne’s passion for exercise has also let her gain new friendships through her community.  

Tracy:

Tracy’s love of fitness began in 2007 with a spin class she took while pregnant. This cycling class played an important role in a healthy and successful pregnancy, and from that point forward both fitness and nutrition became a significant part of her life. She now holds a Primary Group Fitness certification with AFAA, and a certification with Tabata Bootcamp - a High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) fitness routine. Tracy is also certified with both Schwinn and Spinning indoor cycling programs and enjoys outdoor cycling, snowmobiling, and reading.  She has enjoyed creating exciting and energetic workouts and has found that helping others achieve their own fitness goals based on their own abilities and strengths is very rewarding. As a nutritional wellness coach, Tracy understands how exercise and eating right empower people to achieve desired results.  She also knows firsthand the value of a happy and healthy lifestyle, and as a working Mom of 6, with 2 children still at home, she understands the challenge of achieving it on a tight schedule.  Tracy and her husband Gordon recently moved back to Cache Valley, are excited to be a part of this community and look forward to getting to know everyone they meet.

Reina:

Reina Forsythe PhotoReina began a consistent yoga practice after an inspirational college yoga course 18 years ago. After 11 years of practice she certified as an instructor through InBody Yoga Academy, D’ana Baptiste’s 500 hr Certification Program and has been teaching ever since. Reina is registered with Yoga Alliance as an E-RYT which necessitates over 2000 hours of teaching experience. She has taught at numerous studios as well as corporate and private settings. Reina has further trained and certified in the areas of pre and postnatal yoga, biomechanics, alignment, restorative yoga, and meditation. Reina has studied with senior teachers such as Donna Farhi, Richard Miller, Charlotte Bell, Susan McLaughlin, Bryan Kest, Thich Nhat Hanh, Baron Baptiste, Matthew Cohen and in Kerala, India with Peter Francyk. Her experience working 5 years for the fire department where she certified as an EMT, BLS, CPR, and First Aid Instructor also compliments her knowledge of the body received through yoga training.  Reina transitioned from the reactive to the proactive side of health after witnessing firsthand the health benefits of a yogic lifestyle. Her extensive training and experience allow her to guide her class through a fulfilling yoga journey.

Cammy:

Cammy Adair Photo 2Cammy discovered the multiple benefits of yoga in 2012 under the direction of a talented and mindful yoga teacher. With her B.S. degree in Exercise Science and Health Education from Utah State University, she realized the profound and far reaching effects yoga can have on a person’s health and wellness. It re-awakened the mind-body connection in her and has positively affected every aspect of her life, including injury rehabilitation and prevention.  She is the wife of a yoga enthusiast and has witnessed the solid therapeutic effects that have benefitted him, as well as countless others. Cammy has focused her time and energy raising her 6 children and recently decided to build on her background with a 200 hour YTT certification from Yoga Assets in SLC, UT under the direction of Denise Druce. Cammy is registered with Yoga Alliance, and is also a Certified Group Fitness Instructor that connects easily with all participants. Cammy is excited to share the benefits of yoga with the citizens of Nibley City!  Her goal is to create a warm, relaxed and fun environment in her vinyasa style yoga classes that challenge and relax the body and de-stress the mind. She loves to encourage people from all walks of life in their quest to take charge and improve their health.

Unlimited pass = any class any day for that pass period

Payment:
All credit/debit card payments must be made @ Nibley City offices during business hours. If possible please pre-purchase your pass at city hall during business hours; instructors however, will be available to process cash or check payments just prior to class if needed.
